No W7 32-Bit Driver Available
If you encounter the message "Unfortunately there is no W7 32 bit driver for that device," it means that a compatible driver is not available for your device in the 32-bit version of Windows 7.
Switch to W7 64-Bit
Install Hotfix for W7 64-Bit
To resolve this issue, you must upgrade to the 64-bit version of Windows 7. Once you have done so, you can install the following hotfix:
Intel Platform Support
Note that this hotfix is only compatible with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 and is intended for Intel Kabylake platform products. For Skylake processor products, Intel recommends using only Windows 7, as they do not support the ACPIMSFT0101 device.
Manual Driver Installation
Browse for Driver in Device Manager
If you prefer not to install the hotfix, you can manually install the driver by following these steps:
- Open Device Manager.
- Locate the unknown ACPIMSFT0101 device that requires a driver.
- Right-click on the device and select "Update Driver Software..."
- Select "Browse my computer for driver software."
Navigate to the location where you downloaded the hotfix and select the appropriate driver file. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.
