Barcelona ready to sell Christensen, but only for the right money

Christensen has fallen down the pecking order at Camp Nou

Chelsea have made an enquiry for Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen, according to reports in Spain.

The Denmark international joined Barca on a free transfer from Chelsea last summer, but he has struggled to make an impact at the Camp Nou.

Christensen has started just 12 La Liga games this season and he is reportedly keen to leave the club in search of regular first-team football.

Chelsea are thought to be interested in re-signing Christensen, who was a key player for the Blues during their Premier League title win in 2017.

However, Barcelona are reluctant to let Christensen leave on the cheap, and they are reported to be demanding a fee of around €30 million for the defender.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea are willing to meet Barcelona's asking price, but the Blues are certainly in need of reinforcements at the back.

Christensen would be a welcome addition to the Chelsea squad, and he would provide Thomas Tuchel with much-needed competition for places in defence.
